It is GREAT to see such a thought-provoking analysis of the implications of this kind of media. Theoretical but also very real. We spend a lot of time going through the motions of using social media online - sharing, borrowing, creating - but rarely wonder about how it's really changing the way we communicate. It's nice to know that an entire year spent studying the impact of mediated communication on our society wasn't a complete waste of time. A little introspection wakes you up and makes you realize that this changeability (or switchability :) ) of ideas is a massive movement.
Ok, I'm still a bit behind, baffled by RSS and the blogosphere. But it's clearly not going away anytime soon - better learn how to use it!
